Wichary's blog discusses a proposed app interaction by Guzmán for locating a window on screen, using a shake animation. However, this shake signals a password error in MacOS. Rogue Amoeba previously encountered this with SoundSource, later switching to a “pop” animation to indicate the window’s presence instead of the left-right shake. This change was released in 2021, and is now similarly seen in Apple apps, though the double pop in SoundSource is preferred.
