How to Clear macOS’s Icon Cache

touch /Applications/App.app touch /Applications/App.app/Contents/Info.plist killall Dock

Two important things to note:
1) These commands need to be run as root (or with the sudo command)
2) you need to replace the word “App” in “App.app” with the name of the app you are trying to fix
